Introduction to Scent Work - LEVEL ONE
Come and learn this exciting sport of scent detection! These classes will teach your dog how to search for high value food reinforcement and progress to the essential oils of the SDDA (Sporting Detection Dogs Association); Wintergreen, Pine, Thyme. These classes are small to allow for plenty of searching fun, and are suitable for dogs needing their space as only one dog searches at a time. Young or old, big or small, this sport is suitable for everyone. Each class is 75 minutes.
INTRODUCTION TO SCENT WORK - LEVEL TWO
In these classes, students will review and practice all aspects of what they learned in level one, including leash handling, the food reward technique and the power of the marker. Your dog will then advance to locating target odour in containers, on furniture and in objects. Classes are kept small, and are suitable for dogs needing space from others. Each class is 75 minutes.
Pre-requisite: Completion of Introduction Level One
